Upon departing the United States of America in 2014, seeking to immerse himself in the vibrant tapestry of Vietnam, Brandon Hurley embarked upon a transformative odyssey. In the midst of this remarkable expedition, not only did he discover profound love but also unearthed his veritable life's calling. The serendipitous encounter with his beloved wife in 2016 galvanized Hurley, known affectionately as Phúc Mập, to embark upon the pursuit of mastery in the Vietnamese language. After diligently devoting himself to two years of private tutoring, the unwavering encouragement from his beloved spouse impelled him to embark upon a venture that would transcend boundaries - a YouTube channel dedicated to disseminating his unique insights into Vietnamese culture.
Phúc Mập went viral 4 months after starting the channel, and has amassed over 150 million views on his social media. He has made appearances on top Vietnamese television shows such as:
"Ai Là Số 1"
"Nhập Gia Tuỳ Tục"
"2 Ngày / 1 Đem"
and even had a cameo in the hit Vietnamese film:
"Chìa Khoá Trăm Tỷ".
Within the realm of Phúc's relentless quest for linguistic fluency, he has ascended to the pinnacle of eminence as one of the preeminent Vietnamese instructors worldwide, courtesy of his prodigious series, "Vietnamese Word of the Day." Recently, Phúc Mập was bestowed the esteemed title of "Special Ambassador of Tourism to Vietnam" by Dân Trí magazine, an honor that reaffirms his unwavering commitment to disseminating the salient virtues of Vietnamese culture, language, and culinary prowess to a global audience.
